What is
Whole Wellness?
Please note: I am currently private-pay only, meaning I do not accept insurance.
Each of us wants our story to be heard. True healing comes when mind, body and spirit are whole. Having grown up overseas, I understand the alienation of being an outsider in your own country. I experienced the psychological trauma & shame created by religious/church maltreatment. I lived the pain cycle of love vs chaos in narcissistic relationships. I've experienced divorce, remarriage, single-parenting hardships, poverty; while also finding the beauty of rebuilding brokenness. There is power and restoration when we invite someone to walk alongside us, no matter how painful the struggle.
I offer a safe space of acceptance and kind confrontation. Our lives manifest trauma in many ways. Trauma can be a pattern or a one-time event from religious, psychological, emotional, or physical abuse often by the people we trust the most. One of my therapy tools is EMDR Therapy, a “non-talk-therapy” method that helps us work through the past, accept the present and work toward a healthy future. Another form of therapy used is a well-known one, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). This modality guides us to identify and deconstruct challenging thought patterns, working toward reframing them into positive thoughts. As your therapist, I will be present at your point of need, finding what works for you. Whether it is anxiety, trauma, religion "mess", LGBTQIA+ issues, narcissism, codependency; or parenting, troubled marriage, shame, powerlessness, having had toxic parents, aging, or simply the need to redirect a career, I will listen with consideration and open-mindedness while also not hesitating to challenge you when you need another perspective or a “nudge”.
